Terms of Service
Effective October 6, 2026
The short version
- We set up, run, and monitor missed-call text-back for your business.
- One-time setup fee, then month to month. Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice, no cancellation fee.
- Your leads are yours. We never sell them.
- The assistant gathers information. Pricing, safety, and scheduling decisions stay with you.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Julia Lynn Consulting, DBA Granite Signal Systems ("we," "us"). They apply to our website and to our missed-call text-back service (the "Service"). "You" means the business that signs up, and the person accepting on its behalf, who confirms they have authority to do so. By signing up, paying, or using the Service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our SMS Terms.
2. The Service
When a call to your business number goes unanswered and is forwarded to us, our automated text assistant texts the caller, asks the questions you've approved, and sends you a lead summary. The Service includes:
- Setup: custom questions, carrier registration, missed-call forwarding, and emergency rules.
- Ongoing: lead summaries, conversation monitoring, updates to your questions, and a monthly report.
We may improve or change how the Service works over time, without reducing its core features during your paid term.
3. What the assistant does and doesn't do
The assistant gathers information only. It always identifies itself as automated, and it does not quote prices or give estimates, diagnose hazards, promise arrival times or availability, or make commitments on your behalf. When a caller mentions an emergency or safety issue, the conversation stops and you are alerted.
The Service is not an emergency service. You remain responsible for responding to your customers, including urgent requests. We are not responsible for how or when you follow up on a lead.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your business, services, and service area, and tell us when it changes.
- Review and approve the questions the assistant asks.
- Have the right to use and forward the phone number you connect to the Service.
- Use the Service only to reply to people who called your business, and not to send marketing texts or text anyone who hasn't contacted you.
- Comply with the laws that apply to your business and your use of customer information, including telemarketing, texting, and privacy laws.
- Provide the business details needed for carrier registration. Registration can be delayed or rejected by carriers based on that information, which is outside our control.
5. Fees and billing
- Setup fee: a one-time fee, due at signup. It covers setup work and is non-refundable once setup begins.
- Monthly fee: a flat fee, billed in advance each month to your payment method on file.
- Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' written notice before changing your monthly fee.
- Late payment: if a payment fails and isn't resolved within 10 days of notice, we may pause the Service until it is.
- Taxes: fees don't include taxes, which you're responsible for where they apply.
Your current fees are those shown in your order or invoice.
6. Cancellation
There is no long-term contract. You may cancel at any time by emailing us with 30 days' notice. You'll be billed through the end of the notice period, with no cancellation fee and no refund for partial months. When the Service ends, we'll stop texting on your behalf, and you should remove call forwarding to us from your phone.
We may suspend or end the Service if you materially break these terms, misuse the Service, or if a carrier requires it. Where possible, we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
7. Your data
Lead information and conversations belong to you. We process them on your behalf to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell your leads or use your callers' information to market to them. After cancellation, you may request an export of your lead summaries within 30 days, after which we delete them according to our retention practices.
8. Our property
The Service, our software, templates, and website remain our property. We give you the right to use the Service for your own business while your account is active. Your business name, logo, and content remain yours, and you allow us to use them only to provide the Service.
9. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it depends on phone carriers, texting networks, and other providers outside our control. The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that every message will be delivered, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or any particular number of leads, jobs, or revenue.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost jobs, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service in violation of these terms or the law, your follow-up with customers, or the work you perform for them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date at the top of this page and notify active clients of significant changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
